$60.00 $80.00
Details
From weddings and family vacations to beloved pets, grandparents, milestone birthdays, and cherished memories, each Shell Tale begins with a photograph and becomes a one-of-a-kind keepsake handcrafted on a real Cape May shell. The photos are hand transferred into the shells (not decoupaged) and sealed with resin. I paint the edges in silver or gold and a message can be added to the front or back of the shell. A one-of-a-kind treasured keepsake.

The two shells that I ordered arrived sooner than I expected. The packaging is classy and ready to be simply wrapped up and given. The photos look so clear and natural. My friend lost her husband very soon after this photo was taken, it was unknown at the time that this would be their last date after 48 years of a very full and wonderful life. Barbara captured a moment in time that lives on in her heart forever. Barbara created a family heirloom that is a precious memory for my friend. The intuitive creativity that makes these shells unique comes from Barbara's unique ability to read the energy from the photo and listen with a kind and open heart to the story behind the moment.

The shell was beautiful! I bought this as a gift for my best friend since childhood after her father passed away. I didn't have a very large photo, but Barbara worked with me and suggested a shell. It came out beautifully. She was able to capture that beach moment in a shell for my friend to keep forever. I will definitely be purchasing from this company in the future. High quality and excellent customer service. I received timely updates about my package.

What are Shell Tales used for?
Transform a cherished photo into a lasting keepsake by transferring it onto a shell. Create a collection of family portraits to adorn your living space or honor a beloved pet. Consider gifting one to a friend; they'll be deeply touched by your heartfelt gesture.
How is photo transfer different from decoupage?
Photo transferring is a technique using a laser printer and special transfer gel to your photo. After the shell is prepared (sanitized, sanded and painted) your photo is edited to fit in the shell. The photo is gently placed into the shell and after 24 hours the paper is removed. The shell now holds your photo (not decoupage which is gluing a photo on the shell)
